Since our grandparents Pierre & Marie Durand homesteaded in Northwest Wisconsin in 1895, we are now the third generation from that early era. Grandpa & Grandma Durand were both French Canadian and immigrated down from the Quebec area in Canada. After living near Faribault, Minnesota in the 1860s where they were married, they moved to NW WI and homesteaded not far from our farm just a few miles away where they built their first log cabin in 1895.
It is the cornerstone of what we practice. Taking care of the soil so that it has an abundance of organic matter yields crops which are full of natural nutrients. We do not use pesticides, herbicides or growth hormones. Our products are pure and fresh!
